  • Please join us for our Academy Award Nominated Movie Series.  Movie start times are Thursdays at 5:30pm and Fridays at 12:30pm and shown in the Community Room, FREE of charge.  Snacks are permitted. 
    • February 11 & 12 - Bridge of Spies
    • February 18 & 19 - Steve Jobs
    • February 25 & 26 - Brooklyn
  • The Friends of the Library are are hosting Love Songs and Jazz with Bill Hill, music of the 30's, 40's & 50's on Tuesday, February 16.  This is a live performance of music and will be held in the atrium of the Library.  Refreshments at at 6:30pm and the music starts at 7pm. 
  • Join us as we watch the very last epsisode of Masterpiece Theater's Downton Abbey on Monday, February 29 at 5pm.  Free Snacks and drawings for prizes!  No sign-up required. 
  • Pronunciator - Learn 80 languages in 50 languages at your own pace. ESL training is also available in 50 non-english speaking languages.  Online access is available in a browser on a computer and mobile devices.  Checkout the user manual for detailed instructions on how to move through the courses.  There is also an online prep test course designed for immigrants to succeed at the Naturalization test called ProCitizen .  To gain access, you need your Jack Russell Memorial Library card number.  If you need more assistance setting up an online account see our getting started guide.
  • The Youth Services Department has lots of fun activities planned for the entire family this spring.  For star wars fans the Library is planning fun activities on May 4th!  Checkout the Spring 2016 Event Calendar for more information!

If you do not know your pin number, please call the library & a staff member will be happy to assist you.
The Friends of the Hartford Library are proud to offer a Literacy Program called Learning Partners.  Appointments may be made with volunteers to assist with reading skills, computer help, job skills, English as a second language and basic homework aid for high school students.  For specific information on this program, please 673-3341 or 673-2903.



The Jack Russelll Memorial Library is pleased to offer this Early Literacy Program as part of a state-wide program called Growing Wisconsin Readers.  Our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is open to any child beginning at birth until they start kindergarten.
