The Hunger Games Trivia Quiz

All of these questions are based upon Suzanne Collins’ book series The Hunger Games. Please read each question carefully and circle the appropriate answer. One entry per person please! If more than one entry is submitted, all entries will be disqualified. Prizes will be drawn from participants with correct answers. Prizes included Hunger Games book trilogy and Mockingjay Part 1 DVD. Online form will be available April 1-30.

The library will be showcasing select new release movies for grown-ups on Thursday nights starting at 5:30 and Friday afternoons starting at 12:30! Bring friends, family, and snacks!:

Arthur The Reading Dog

Arthur the reading dog will be waiting for someone to read him stories on the following Saturdays: January 10 and 24, and February 14 and 28. Reservce your time slot between 10:00am and 1:00pm by calling, or stopping by, the youth library.


Weekly Preschool Story Hours

The youth library will be offering two (2) weekly preschool story hours - Tuesdays 10:30am to 11:30am, and Wednesdays 1:00pm to 1:30pm. Programs start on Jan. 27, and run through April 8. Weekly themes include winter, jungles, hearts, colors and homes.


Toddler Time

Parents of toddlers! A new series of programs just for you. Join us for toddler time, Thursdays from 10:30am to 10:50am. Drop in, no reservations, ages 18 months to 3 years. Begins January 29 to April 9.


Literacy Program

The Friends of the Library are proud to offer a literacy program for Hartford area people. Appointments may be made with "Learning Partners" volunteers to assist with reading skills, computer help, job skills, English language assistance and basic homework aid for high schoolers. For specific information, please call 673-3341 or 673-2903.


All programs are held in the library's community room unless otherwise noted.
