Available Meeting Room Space
The Jack Russell Memorial Library has the following meeting room spaces available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space fills up VERY QUICKLY, therefore the library advises calling as soon as possible to reserve a room.
Community Room
JRML's Community
Room on the first floor is available for use 9 AM-7:30 PM Mon- Thur, 9 AM- 5 PM Fri, and 9 AM- 1 PM Sat. Set-up and cleanup of the room is the responsibility of the person(s) reserving the space.
The capacity of the Community Room is as follows per the fire
code:

For programs and presentations where the room can be set up for 100 people seated, a center aisle must be available and the exits
cannot be blocked. Mixed use of the room
(standing and seated) is not allowed. Violations
of the fire code shall result in a fine from the Hartford Police Department.
Conference Room
The Conference Room
on the second floor is set up for twelve (12) people. This room is only available
during library business hours.
For those groups that wish to use the Community Room, the Conference Room, or an outdoor patio, please fill out the Meeting Room Reservation Form and Meeting Room Policy Form and review the guide to stacking chairs. Please note: For-profit groups using the Community Room and/or Conference Room, there is an $80 charge for a four-hour block of time. Non-for profit groups may use the room free of charge. Donations cannot be charged by any group for any reason while using library meeting room space.

Small Study Rooms
The library has three (3) small study rooms on the second floor.
Room 208 can accommodate up to six people.
Room 209 can accommodate up to four people.
Room 210 can accommodate up to four people.

Outdoor Patio Areas
The library has three outdoor patio areas. Two are available to reserve for meetings and small gatherings. These areas are only available during library business hours, weather permitting.
The Mill Pond Public Patio Patio can accommodate fifty people (located on the first floor of the library, north end of the atrium). Tables and chairs are available in this location.
The 2nd-floor balcony can accommodate 25 people (facing south). Tables and chairs are available.
The Library has another balcony on the second floor that stretches across the back of the building behind the three small study areas. It does not have tables, only chairs, and is intended for use by one to three people.
