Available Meeting Room Space
The Jack Russell Memorial Library has the following meeting room spaces available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space fills up VERY QUICKLY, therefore the library advises calling as soon as possible to reserve a room.
Small Study Rooms
The library has three (3) small study rooms on the second floor.
Room 208 can accommodate up to six people.
Room 209 can accommodate up to four people.
Room 210 can accommodate up to four people.
To reserve a small study room, please call the library at 262-673-8240 and press two (2) to be connected with a staff member.
Larger Meeting Areas
There are two (2) larger meeting spaces inside the library: the Community Room and the Conference Room. There are an additional two (2) patios outside. For more information on these spaces, see below.

Please Note: Any For-Profit groups using these spaces must pay an $80 charge for a 4-hour block of time, plus an additional $25 per hour over four (4) hours. Any for-profit business or group must pay to use the room regardless of whether they are making a profit during said meeting. There is no charge for Non-Profit groups. Donations of any kind cannot be charged or asked for by any group for any reason while using library spaces.

Community Room
JRML's Community
Room on the first floor has a capacity of 100 people seated and 150 people standing per the fire code. For programs and presentations using seating, a center aisle must be available and exits cannot be blocked. Mixed use of room, (standing and seated) is not allowed. Violation of the fire code shall result in a fine from the Hartford Police Department.
The Community Room is available during the following hours:
Monday - Thursday: 9 AM - 7:30 PM
Friday: 9 AM - 5 PM
Saturday: 9 AM - 1:30 PM
Set-up and cleanup of the room is the responsibility of the person(s) reserving the space. Please consider this before reserving the space. The person(s) reserving the space may not enter the building before the library opens at 9 AM to set up. All tables and chairs must be put back properly. Conference Room
The Conference Room
on the second floor is set up for ten (10) people and contains a large conference table that cannot be removed from the space.
The Conference room is available during the following hours:
Monday - Thursday: 9 AM - 7:30 PM
Friday: 9 AM - 5 PM
Saturday: 9 AM - 1:30 PM
Outdoor Patio Areas
The library has two (2) outdoor patio areas that may be reserved for smaller gatherings.
The Mill Pond Public Patio, located on the first floor of the library, can accommodate fifty (50) people.
The South-side balcony, located on the second floor of the library, can accommodate twenty-five (25) people.
Please note: Limited numbers of tables and chairs are available on both patios. These will not accommodate the capacity for either patio. Additional tables and chairs are not available from the library.
The patios may only be reserved between May 1st and October 31st, weather permitting. Please be aware that if there is bad weather, the library reserves the right to close the patios and cancel any scheduled meetings. There may not be another space available inside to hold the meeting.
